The new 2009 models distinguish themselves from last year’s with more distinct distance gaps between the long and middle irons. The iron triads were designed so you get long and forgiving long-irons, long and accurate middle irons and accurate and responsive short irons.

The soles of the long irons were increased to move the center of gravity back, the toplines were progressively thickened to put more mass behind the ball at address, and the size of the head was increased with the idea of increasing the moment of inertia.

Is it bad to have a 15.5deg loft driver?

I have a 15.5deg loft Cleveland Launcher. It's the only driver i hit consistently strait and far. I'm 15 and weigh 125lbs and I hit this driver 265avg and I've maxed 305 with it. I get laughed at a lot and people say I'm hitting "a pitching wedge off the tee." Fact is, I can't hit anything with less loft. I tried a 12.5deg Taylormade R7 driver and it went an avg of 240 with a bad slice. Also, I have an A flex. I've heard this is equivalent to Senior/lady's stiff flex. I get laughed at because of that too. Is any of this a bad thing?

Another thing, another reason I like this 15.5deg driver is because it's almost 2 clubs in one. It can hit off the ground like a 3w.

Forget what everyone says. You have to play with whatever is best for your game- you're smart enough to recognize that. Unless you're playing with Tour pros, they have no room to talk. Some people pretend they can play with 80 gram "X"-flex driver shafts, or blade irons, or a 2 iron, yet struggle to break 100, just because it makes them look cool. Hit it past them and in the fairway, get on in regulation, take less putts, beat their scores, then laugh about it afterwards. That should shut them up.
